In addition, I also have a transistor with a frequency-dependent input impedance. I'm trying to figure out how to design this circuit so that it can have a reasonably sized input impedance and a very low output impedance. The switchable load I have is just a varistor, which is more or less a resistor with some small capacitance between the resistive element and ground. The input to the transistor has a bandwidth of up to about 100 kHz. I'd like to be able to switch the impedance on the load up and down to be some percentage of the original value. The current that's drawn from this is always less than one mA and the voltage swing is always less than 10 volts. I could put a voltage-to-current converter in series with the varistor, but I don't think it would be that useful since the voltage-to-current converter would only be used at low frequency. The same thing would be true if I were to connect a voltage source and a low-impedance resistor to the varistor (which I've used before when I had no other option). What I really want to do is use a current-steering amplifier to control the switchable impedance, but I can't figure out how to design the current-steering amplifier in such a way
