Chef Kwame Onwuachi, a Bronx born chef with Nigerian roots, won a 2019 James Beard award last night! In his acceptance speech, Chef Onwuachi highlighted the need for the food community to include everyone in the conversation and he saluted his ancestors who cooked before him without a choice.
